The Session welcomed Sarah Katherine Bonds into the membership of Grace by transfer of her church letter. Linda Grote and Gary Minder presented a motion from Visions of Grace to start the first phase of renewing our church campus. Ellen Potts, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity, was welcomed as a visitor at the May Stated Session Meeting. She informed the Session that as part of celebrating 200 years of a Presbyterian presence in Tuscaloosa in 2020, First Presbyterian is teaming up with Habitat to build a home for a family with three children.
The Session heard the faith story of Jazmine Partin and welcomed her into membership of Grace. Kendra Peebles discussed with the Session her desire to start the process of becoming ordained as a minister of the Word and Sacrament in the PCUSA.
