Children in Worship
There are four places to be children during our Sunday morning worship services:
- The Pew: Faith is passed down through generations. It is taught, demonstrated, and shared. In worship with you, is the most fruitful place for the youngest Saints to grow. We’ll provide a few resources to help engage, but our worship is for everyone and all ages! (Worship activity bags may be taken from the Bag Tree on the PrayGround)
- The Prayground: A second place, for those with the wiggles, is the Prayground. Here, toddlers to 1st graders, with an accompanying adult, can engage in worship and stay within the Sanctuary during service. We ask here that you be mindful of noise and others seated close to the Prayground!
- StoryPath: Children begin worship with family. Following Children’s Time with the minister, pre-K to 2nd graders may go to StoryPath, a program that connects children’s literature with our Faith Story. The story and the follow-up activity reinforces the day’s worship scripture and/or theme. The children return to the sanctuary for communion.
- Nursery: Our nursery is staffed by adults caring for the youngest Saints. Here, there are age appropriate activities and toys, within a vibrant space full of light and color.Children are pictured spending time in the PrayGround. The PrayGround is located in the center of our sanctuary.
