Festival of the Earth Sunday

UPC's annual Festival of the Earth Celebration is a little bit Earth Day and little bit Thanksgiving.  It is a day to recognize the beauty of creation and to give thanks.  It is a day to care for UPC’s flower beds and plantings.

There are many ways for you to participate:

  • Bring a gift from the earth: autumn leaves, flowers, rocks, feathers, anything that represents the beauty of God's creation. We will carry these in at the beginning of worship to create a visual display.

  • Bring a dish to share at the fellowship luncheon.

  • Bring non-perishables for our Food Pantry: rice, dried beans, canned fruit and/or vegetable, peanut butter, canned meat.

  • Bring a bag of dirt, winter kale, a tray of pansies, bales of pine straw.

  • Bring gardening tools for digging and planting.

Those who can work early to prepare the ground for the afternoon’s plantings please meet @9:30 AM.
Dress for the day is VERY casual.
