February 8, 2018, 10:24am
Stated Session Meeting
November 30, 2017
The Session met with Anedrea, Jaela, and Cameron Avery. Jasmine Avery joined the meeting by phone. Anedrea and Jaela desired to join the fellowship and ministry of Grace. The session approved a motion to welcome Anedrea and Jaela into our congregation by transfer of letter and to add Cameron to the baptized roll. Jasmine intends to join at a later date.
The presbytery has been providing consultant services at no charge for a group representing Grace to engage in a process called Pneumatrix intended to equip Grace for leadership in a time of change and to discern the ministries to which our congregation is called. Eight churches in the presbytery participated in the process, and their final joint meeting was held in January 2018.
The Buildings and Grounds Committee discussed a plan to form a Grace remodel/improvement task force which will take into account input from the congregation as well as what the Pneumatrix Committee has learned through its work.
Session member Susan Benke was elected Clerk of Session for 2018.
