Beginning in September:
GPC’s choir – open to all interested high school/college students and adults – rehearses the 1st and 3rd Wednesday nights (7:00-8:30 p.m.) in the choir room located behind the sanctuary. There is a group that rehearses Sunday morning’s, 10:00-11:00 in preparation for weekly worship services. Additionally, the choir provides music and worship leadership for seasons and services such as Advent, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and All Saints.
If you play an instrument and would like to play in accompaniment to worship or with the choir, please contact Leslie Poss: [email protected]
Our children’s choir: K-5th Grades, rehearses on a rotating schedule during the school year. They meet Sunday mornings, 9:30-10:00. This group frequently sings in worship and for special services such as: Children’s Sabbath, Christmas, Palm Sunday, and Easter.
In worship, music is not something only a few gifted people do; it’s an expression of joy for the entire congregation as we sing together great hymns of the faith old and new. In truth, there is no more special music than the music of the congregation.
The music of Grace Presbyterian’s choir is both a gift from and an offering to God. We dedicate the gift of song to the glory of God.
For more information, please contact Dr. Leslie S. Poss, Director of Music and Worship Arts.
June, July, and August there are no Wednesday night rehearsals. We rehearse each Sunday morning, 10:30, just prior to 11:00 worship. Make choir a part of your summer fun!
This group is open to high school and adult ringers. It’s rehearsal schedule is Sunday afternoons, 2:00, September-May. You don’t have to read music to join this group but having some basic music reading skills is very helpful. The group plays for worship 6-7 times a year.
